About
A little about the person behind the ceremonies — and why I believe every "I do" should feel like a reflection of the couple saying it.

Hi, I'm Dr. Danielle L. Burroughs
I am a licensed and ordained Elder under Fountain of Praise Covenant Churches and a licensed officiant with American Marriage Ministries. I believe the most important part of a wedding isn't the flowers or the venue — it's the moment two people stand in front of the people they love and choose each other, out loud.
My approach is calm, warm, and deeply personal. I take time to learn your story, understand your values, and write a ceremony that feels like *you*. Whether you want something traditional, spiritual, lighthearted, or completely unconventional, I'm here to help you create it.
Beyond officiating, I am an educator at heart. I have served in elementary, middle, and high school education for over 20 years, and I currently serve as a high school principal in Newark, NJ. I am a proud mother of two and bonus mom of one, and I have been married for 15 years — growing in every role and hat that I wear.
What I believe
Authenticity
Your ceremony should sound like you, not a template. I write every script from scratch based on your story.
Inclusivity
All couples, all backgrounds, all beliefs are welcome. Love is love, and every ceremony deserves to be honored.
Intention
From our first conversation to the final pronouncement, every detail is handled with care and presence.
Available for travel
Based locally, but happy to travel. Whether you're getting married in a nearby garden or on a distant coastline, I'll bring the same thoughtfulness and professionalism to your celebration.
